After nearly two years of living through the pandemic, the UK Government announced the end of all Covid-19 restrictions on February 24th, 2022. The prolonged lockdowns and limitations had created a sense of distance between me and my family, both physically and emotionally.
This project was born out of a desire to rebuild those bonds and reconnect with my loved ones. It brings together a collection of photographs—some cherished memories from my mum’s old photo albums and others captured recently by each family member using disposable cameras.
Through these visual stories, we reflect on our shared experiences during the pandemic, weaving together the past and present as a way to rediscover our connection and celebrate the resilience of family.
