Pandora’s Box is a multimedia personal essay that documents my emotional journey of reconnection with my Dad, who passed away suddenly from cancer eight years ago. When he died, I inherited a box filled with his most personal possessions. For years, overwhelmed by grief and guilt, I could not bring myself to open it.
Until Now.
At the time of his death, I felt I didn’t truly know my Dad. Through opening this box and engaging with the deeply personal items he left behind, I began to piece together a fuller understanding of the man he was.
In Pandora’s Box, I recount the memories and stories stirred by each object, documenting my thoughts and emotions as I travel to places connected to them.
